Rescue The Data From Your Dell PC

DELL DIMENSION 3000:

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 which I have been using for some time. Recently, the keyboard has been playing up, typing very slowly and sometimes not registering that the computer is on at all (the little lights do not come on when the system starts up). Now the keyboard will not work at all. I am completely unable to type anything at all. None of the keys on the board will work, and this includes the keys that I need to access things such as BIOS, or even to search online for a solution to the problem. I have tried a different keyboard on the Dell, and this has not worked either, but I have been able to get the keyboard that is causing problems to work on another computer so it is a problem with my computer.

DELL DIMENSION 3000:

I have an older Dell Dimension 3000 which was having problems with constantly powering off and then back on, in a cycle. I thought that perhaps the problem was something to do with the power supply, so I fitted a new power cable. Nothing happened, so I removed the CPU, and put in another. This did not work either. I can turn on the power light at the front of the tower, but nothing else. There is a small green light on the motherboard, but there is no turning of fans, and no spinning of the hard drive. It seems to me like the tower is dead.
