Fujitsu Hard Drive Data Recovery

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook C1020 which I appear to have damaged. I wanted to connect the video output of my TV to the motherboard, but I failed to realise that the scart plug was probably a different voltage to the motherboard, and it appears to have fried it. I think that the laptop is now pretty much dead. All that happens when I plug in the computer and press Power is that I get a blue screen displaying a system error. I have tried to go into BIOS in order to make some changes, but I cannot even do that.

I use a Fujitsu Lifebook A6110 as my work computer. Part of my work involves displaying my findings to a group of people. One day I was doing a presentation and the laptop went dead, it just would not switch on. I have even taken the laptop into the IT man who manages the company network, but he has said that he cannot solve the problem as it is not one of his devices. I don’t know what else to do. The data on the laptop is virtually useless unless I can display it on the projector, but I want to be able to use the laptop, as I have with other devices.
